Jamaica Tallawahs (JAM) will be keen to register their second successive win when they face Barbados Royals (BR) in match 6 of Caribbean Premier League (CPL) 2021.
A sensational performance from the batsmen helped Jamaica Tallawahs register the biggest win in CPL history. After being put in to bat first, the Jamaica-based team posted a mammoth 255. Andre Russell rewrote the record for the fastest fifty in CPL after bringing up his half-century in just 14 balls. Migael Pretorius’ fiery opening spell with the ball paved the way for a 120-run win for Jamaica Tallawahs in their opening game.
Barbados Royals suffered a crushing six-wicket defeat at the hands of Trinbago Knight Riders. Choosing to bat first, they were 103/4 after 14 overs. But they lost six wickets for just 19 runs. Azam Khan was the top scorer for Barbados Royals with 30. The defending champions chased down the target with 19 balls to spare despite a valiant effort by Mohammad Amir with the ball.
