The Caribbean Premier League (CPL) 2021 second semi-final pits five-time runners-up Guyana Amazon Warriors (GUY) against 2017 runners-up St Kitts & Nevis Patriots (SKN). The Nicholas Pooran-led side made it to the knockout stage after winning four of their last five games. However, they will be without all-rounder Mohammad Hafeez, who has returned to Pakistan. Guyana Amazon Warriors suffered a batting collapse against Jamaica Tallawahs in their last game. Romario Shepherd struck a splendid 72* and grabbed three wickets to help them defend 142.
St Kitts & Nevis Patriots made it to the semi-final despite winning just one of their last five matches. Evin Lewis, who has a strike rate of 158 in CPL 2021, is likely to return to the playing 11 and open the batting with Devon Thomas. Wicketkeeper-batsman Joshua Da Silva could retain his place after scoring a half-century against Trinbago Knight Riders. They are likely to go with an extra spinner as Jon-Russ Jaggesar might get the nod ahead of Naseem Shah.
