Guyana Amazon Warriors (GUY) will be keen to do the double over Trinbago Knight Riders (TKR) when both sides meet in match 11 of the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) 2021. Bowlers set up a nine-run win for the five-time runners-up in their first meeting against the defending champions this season.
Ravi Rampaul produced another impressive performance as Trinbago Knight Riders grabbed a convincing win over Saint Lucia Kings on Tuesday. Kieron Pollard and Tim Seifert struck 41 and 37, respectively, to help them post 158. Rampaul wrecked Saint Lucia Kings’ run-chase after removing Mark Deyal and Tim David in successive balls. The veteran pacer also dismissed Samit Patel to claim a second three-wicket haul in the tournament.
Despite excellent knocks from Mohammad Hafeez and Shimron Hetmyer, Guyana Amazon Warriors suffered a six-wicket defeat at the hands of St Kitts & Nevis Patriots in their last game. Hafeez and Hetmyer hit half-centuries, but the bowlers let them down. The pace trio Naveen-ul-Haq Murid, Odean Smith, and Nial Smith combined conceded 97 runs. Imran Tahir was the lone bright spot in the bowling department.
