Q&A:
Should I pick more bowlers, batsmen or all-rounders?
In a contest between two teams whose batting lineups have not fired in unison, it will be important to add more to the batting strength and pick bowlers who have been in form in the recent matches. Team Mumbai did not face any trouble chasing a small target against Team Rajasthan in their previous match, recording a huge win which they need to emulate on Friday night. Team Hyderabad were not able to put up what can be termed as a competitive total — 141/7 in 20 overs — in their previous clash against Team Bangalore, which they still managed to win by four runs. SRH will hope that their overseas players in Jason Roy, Jason Holder, Rashid Khan and convention deliver for one last time with several young and uncapped Indian players in tow.
From which team should I pick more players in my XI? Which team is stronger?
Team Hyderabad are out of the race to the Indian T20 League playoffs with 10 defeats and 3 victories in 13 matches played so far giving them 6 points. Even though they were impressive on Wednesday night against Team Bangalore, handing the third-placed team a 4-run defeat, Team Hyderabad still did not have a total good enough to challenge any side in the tournament. On the other hand, Team Mumbai had been holding tight to the rope which has extended far enough for them to remain alive in the tournament, but the condition for them to make it to the Indian T20 League playoffs is extremely improbable. Team Mumbai must win by at least 171 runs against Team Hyderabad, a scenario that has already given the defending champions marching orders from the tournament. Nevertheless, Team Mumbai have indeed performed well and have shown better signs than Team Hyderabad, which makes them the stronger side and a team to pick more players from.
MORE INFORMATION: It is for certain that Team Kolkata are in a better position to qualify for the Indian T20 League playoffs than Team Mumbai. KKR have a better Net Run Rate (NRR) which gives them the edge over the defending champions this year, who will need to produce a performance even more dominant and rare than what they did against Team Rajasthan. Team Mumbai were absolutely dominant in all departments, restricting Team Rajasthan to 90/9 in their 20 overs and chasing down the target in only 8.2 overs. A victory for Team Kolkata by any margin will see them through whereas Team Mumbai need to record an improbable victory by 171 runs at least against Team Hyderabad, who already have spoiled the chances of Team Bangalore finishing second in the Indian T20 League points table.
Players’ form: Team Mumbai will hope for their big guns to fire in an all important clash which they win which they need to win by a big margin. Rohit Sharma and Quinton de Kock have been getting some runs but not big enough for Team Mumbai to have a huge impact in the tournament. The likes of Suryakumar Yadav, Kieron Pollard, Hardik Pandya and even Saurabh Tiwary will carry great responsibilities of getting quick runs in order to help their team record a big victory. On the other hand, Team Hyderabad would like to sign off from a wretched Indian T20 League campaign with a memorable victory, which will be their fourth.

Desperate Team Mumbai wary of Team Hyderabad
A desperate Team Mumbai team will be inspired to sign off from Indian T20 League on a high, with their challenge of making it to the Indian T20 League playoffs all but over following a heavy win for Team Kolkata (KKR) against Team Rajasthan by 86 runs.
KKR’s win on Thursday night has left Team Mumbai, the record five-time title winners and also the defending champions this year, with a herculean task of beating Team Hyderabad by a monumental margin of 171 runs at least in order to stand a chance of playing in the knockouts round.
Team Mumbai have had their good and bad in this tournament and they would know that the fault lies at their part to not have picked up momentum or had improved their performances to the extent of making it to the final round.
The Rohit Sharma-led side will be wary of the fact that Sunrises Hyderabad can end their campaign in Indian T20 League with a surprise performance, one that they produced against Team Bangalore on Wednesday night by handing them a narrow defeat which also denied V Kohlii’s team a chance to move up to the second position in the points table.
Team Mumbai are placed 5th in the Indian T20 League points table, one place behind Team Kolkata who are in the pole position to finish as the last team for the Indian T20 League knockouts. While Team Kolkata and Team Mumbai both have played 13 matches so far, won 6 each and lost 7, it is their NRR which separates the two teams with KKR having an edge.
Team Kolkata have an NRR of 0.294 which is far better than that of Team Mumbai’-0.048. However, if Team Mumbai are able to produce a performance which they dished out against Team Rajasthan, there is a strong possibility that the five-time defending champions this year will be making it to the final four.
Team Mumbai are slowly picking up in all departments but they are yet to attain full throttle even though the situation has time and again demanded them to be at the top of their game. However, a glimpse of what Team Mumbai can produce was seen against Team Rajasthan, when the likes of Nathan Coulter-Nile and James Neesham teamed up to share 7 wickets between them and set up a huge victory by 8 wickets, which was achieved in 8.2 overs only.
Team Mumbai will need a similar sort of performance against Team Hyderabad in order to improve their NRR and stand a chance of making it to the Indian T20 League playoffs. However, if Team Kolkata beat Team Rajasthan on Thursday night in their final league round game, it will be very difficult for Team Mumbai to go through.
Team Hyderabad have had a poor campaign in this Indian T20 and in the final match of the season, ahead of the mega auction in Indian T20 2022, the 2016 edition winners will want to produce their best performance and clinch what will be a consolatory victory. Team Hyderabad have won only 3 matches out of the 13 played so far while losing a high number of 10 games, which has been one of their worst performances in Indian T20 history
