Another month of exciting international cricket action awaits fantasy cricket players. The Test cricket fans will be over the moon as heavyweights England and India face each other in a five-match series, beginning on August 4 at Trent Bridge cricket ground. West Indies, who recently lost to South Africa at home, will host Pakistan in a two-match series.
Due to the brand-new Hundred tournament and the upcoming Caribbean Premier League, the month of August will witness only a few white-ball international matches. West Indies, Pakistan, Australia, and Bangladesh will be in action in T20Is. Zimbabwe’s white-ball tour to Ireland – three ODIs and five T20Is – has been postponed owing to Covid-19.
Here’s a look at the international fixtures scheduled for August.
T20 Internationals
Australia and Bangladesh will play a T20I series for the first time. The two teams will play five T20Is, with Shere Bangla National Stadium hosting all the matches. The Kangaroos have a 100% record against Bangladesh in the shortest format of the game. However, they have lost their last three series away from home – in England, New Zealand, West Indies. The Tigers, meanwhile, defeated Zimbabwe 2-1 recently.
West Indies will play their remaining two T20Is in the four-match series against Pakistan in the first week of August. Pakistan leads the series 0-1 after a seven-run win in the second T20I in Guyana. Rain played spoilsport in the opening match.

Test matches
The second edition of the World Test Championship kicks off with the England-India series. Both teams played out a four-match Test series a few months ago, with India winning the series 3-1. England will be feeling confident as they won 11 of their last 14 Test matches played against India at home.
West Indies will take on Pakistan in two Test matches. The Asian outfit, who blanked Zimbabwe 2-0 recently, haven’t lost a Test series against West Indies since 2000. The hosts, though, are winless in their last three series at home – against South Africa, Sri Lanka, India.
