Making Test debut at Lord’s cricket ground is something to cherish. So, how about becoming the first player to hit a double hundred on debut at the ‘Mecca of Cricket’? After impressing in the white-ball cricket, New Zealand batsman Devon Conway has made a stunning entry into Test cricket, scoring a double hundred against England in the first Test match at Lord’s.
Conway, who struck a hundred on opening day, was rock solid despite running out of partners in the first session on Day 2. It was a six that took him to 200 and helped New Zealand post a healthy first innings total. The 29-year-old became the second Kiwi player to make a double hundred on Test debut and seventh in the overall list.
