Indian T20 League 2022: Punjab vs Rajasthan Fantasy Cricket Match-Ups

Playoff hopefuls Punjab and Rajasthan will play against each other at Wankhede Stadium in match 52 of the Indian T20 League 2022 season. The Mohali-based outfit, who hammered Gujarat in their last game, are seventh in the points table with ten points. A win will take them to the top four.

Third-placed Rajasthan have lost back-to-back fixtures as they suffered crushing defeats at the hands of Mumbai and Kolkata. But they can climb to second with a victory against Punjab on Saturday.

L LIVINGSTONE VS K RABADA

Liam Livingstone brought delight to fantasy cricket players by picking up 77 points in the victory over Gujarat. He removed David Miller and helped Punjab wrap up the match in the 16th over courtesy of a 10-ball 30*. Kagiso Rabada is in red-hot form, picking up ten wickets in Punjab's last three outings. He has grabbed a wicket each against Gujarat and Lucknow in the powerplay. 

Verdict: K Rabada has the edge over L Livingstone in the overseas Match-Up.

M AGARWAL VS D PADIKKAL

Mayank Agarwal and Devdutt Padikkal have struggled to score big knocks consistently in the 15th edition. The Punjab captain, who didn't open the batting against Gujarat, has made 161 runs in eight innings, while the Rajasthan opening batter has registered just one fifty in the tournament so far. 

Verdict: M Agarwal is likely to win the Match-Up against D Padikkal.

B RAJAPAKSA VS R ASHWIN

Bhanuka Rajapaksa scored 40 as he and Dhawan added an 87-run stand for the second wicket against Gujarat. The 30-year-old has made 73 runs from two innings at Wankhede Stadium. Ravichandran Ashwin has bagged six wickets in Rajasthan's last four outings. He has the best economy rate among Rajasthan bowlers, conceding just above seven runs per over in ten matches. 

Verdict: R Ashwin could outscore B Rajapaksa in this Match-Up. 

T BOULT VS Y CHAHAL

Rajasthan pacer Trent Boult has bagged nine wickets in as many matches in the 15th edition. But he picked just two wickets in his last five matches.  Purple Cap holder Yuzvendra Chahal, too, hasn't been prolific since his five-wicket haul against Kolkata. The leg-spinner has picked up just two wickets in his last four outings. 

Verdict:  Y Chahal could pick up more fantasy points than T Boult.
